Our food pantry, which operates year-round, provides supplemental food to qualified, low-income residents. In 2016, we served 8566 adults and 3426 children, distributing 10,800 bags of food to these grateful clients. To maintain this level of support for our community, we need a steady stream of donations, and so each year in the spring we reach out to our donors via Bucks for Hunger. We live in a very generous community, and we invite you to be part of the miracle. After all, hunger never takes a holiday.
A Message from our Executive Director
Dear Friends and Neighbors near and far,
After such a challenging winter season, we are kicking off this spring with our 27th Annual Bucks for Hunger Drive. During the recent winter storms, we witnessed the struggles of our clients-in-need, and at times it was heartbreaking. Valley Churches United kept our food pantry open the entire time, even though we had our own flooding disaster. Through your direct donations, we will remain a reliable source of supplemental food and aid for our local, qualified residents.
During my first year with Valley Churches United, I have truly been inspired by your generosity to help those receiving assistance in their time of need. I have also experienced former clients who stop by to give back to the place that helped my family when we needed it so badly. They come back and give their time, or they donate money, as a way to both pay it back and pay it forward.
As Valley Churches United celebrates our 35th year of bridging the gap in time of crisis, while promoting self-sufficiency and providing hope, we are so grateful for your tax-deductible donation.
With deepest gratitude
